Relief
Procedure
To reduce the risk of serious bodily injury, including
fluid injection, splashing in the eyes or on the skin, or
injury from moving parts, always follow this procedure
whenever the pump is shut off, when checking or ser-
vicing any part of the system, when installing or
changing spray tips, and whenever you stop spraying.
1. Engage the spray gun or dispensing valve safety
latch.
2. Turn off the hydraulic power supply.
3. Disengage the gun or dispensing valve safety latch.
4. Hold a metal part of the gun or valve firmly to a
grounded metal waste container and trigger it to
I
relieve the fluid pressure.
5. Engage the safety latch again.
6. Open the pump drain
valve
(required in system),
having a container ready to catch the drainage.
7. Leave the drain valve open until you are ready to
spray again.

loosen the hose end coupling and relieve pressure
gradually, then loosen completely. Now clear the tip or
hose obstruction.

*Stop the pump immediately if it is running too fast; check fluid supply. If empty, ra
all air from the system, or flush the pump and store it with an oil-based solvent, such as mineral spirits, to prevent corrosion.
**Follow the Pressure Relief Procedure
Warning,
above, and than disconnect fluid line. If pump starts when hydraulic power is
restored, line, etc. is clogged.

**Alwavs
stop the pump at the bottom of its stroke, and keep the packing nut/wet-cup
l/3 full of TSL to help prevent displacement
rod seizure.
