CAUTION: When not in use, place tool on its side
on a stable surface where it will not cause a tripping
or falling hazard. Some tools with large battery packs will
stand upright on the battery pack but may be easily knocked over.
• Air vents often cover moving parts and should be
avoided. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be caught in
moving parts.

ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENTS

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, turn unit off and remove the battery pack
before making any adjustments or removing/installing
attachments or accessories. An accidental start‑up can
cause injury.
Attaching Hook and Loop Sanding Discs (Fig. B)
Your sander is designed to use 5" (127 mm) sanding discs
with the 8 hole dust extraction pattern. Sanding discs attach
with hook and loop.

2. The hook and loop fastening system sanding disc can
be easily removed by simply pulling it off. It can be reused
as desired.
Dust Collection (Fig. C, D)

WARNING: Collected sanding dust from sanding
surface coatings (polyurethane, linseed oil, etc.) can
self‑ignite in sander dust bag or elsewhere and cause
fire. To reduce risk, empty bag frequently and strictly follow
sander manual and coating manufacturer's instructions.
• The dust bag
should be emptied after every 10 minutes

• To attach the dust bag to the sander, line up the grooves

• To remove, turn the dust bag

• To empty the dust bag, remove it from the dust port and
dump the sanding debris into an appropriate trash receptacle.
OPERATION

Installing and Removing the Battery Pack (Fig. E)
NOTE: For best results, make sure your battery pack is
fully charged.
To install the battery pack
battery pack with the rails inside the tool's handle and slide
it into the handle until the battery pack is firmly seated in
the tool and ensure that it does not disengage.
To remove the battery pack from the tool, press the release
button
and firmly pull the battery pack out of the tool

handle. Insert it into the charger.
Proper Hand Position (Fig. F)

ALWAYS use proper hand position as shown.

Proper hand position requires one hand on the main
handle

• To switch the tool on, depress the on/off switch
"I" position.
• To switch the tool off, depress the on/off switch
"O" position.
Sander Operation

WARNING: Let the tool work at its own pace. Do
not overload.
Grasp the sander and turn it ON. Move it in long, sweeping
strokes along the surface, letting it do the work. Pushing
down on the tool while sanding actually slows the removal
rate and produces an inferior quality finish.
Check your work often. This sander is capable of removing
material rapidly.
