Select this when the player is
connected to an audio
component without a built-in
Dolby Digital decoder. Yon can
select whether the signals
conform to Dolby Surround
(Pro Logic) or not by making
acliustlnents to the
"DOV_LNMIX" item in
"AUDIO SETUP" (page 69).

Select this when the player is
DIGITAL
connected to an audio
component with a built-in
Dolby Digital decoder.
If the HDMI OUT jack is connected to equipment
not compatible with DOLBY DIGITAL signals, the
"D-PCM" si_lals will be automatically output even
when you select "DOLBY DIGITAL"

of the audio

The audio signals of DVD
VIDEOs are ahvays converted
to 48kHzi 16bit.
All types of signals including
96kHz 24bit are output in their
original format. However, if the
signal is enc_'pted
for
cop?Tight protection purposes.
the signal is only outpm as
48kH_ 16bit.
• The analogue
audio signals
from the LINE OUT
LiR (AUDIO)jacks
are not affected
by this
setting and keep their original
sampling

level.

48 kHzi 16 bit PCM will be antomatically
outpnt
even when you select "96kHz 24bit "
If file HDMI OUT jack is connected
to equipment
not compatible
with DTS signals, the"OFF"
signals
will be antomatically
output even when you select
"ON"
