Spray cans containing chloro/fluorocarbons
Permanent wave solutions
Chlorinated waxes/cleaners
Chlorine-based swimming pool chemicals
Calcium chloride used for thawing
Sodium chloride used for water softening

Venting/combustion air — options
Boiler vent and air connections:
Provide a vent pipe mfr's Slim-Fit VENT/AIR ADAPTER at boiler vent connection and air connection (if used).
See Figure 96, page 105 for part/kit numbers.
Provide pipe manufacturer's reducer(s) as needed to meet vent/air pipe size used.
BIRD SCREENS —
Provide a vent manufacturer's BIRD

2.
(combustion air piped from outside):
a. Install air inlet piping for the SlimFit boiler as de-
scribed in this manual.
b. Do not terminate air piping in locations that can allow
contamination of combustion air.
3. See Figure 21 for products and areas which may cause
contaminated combustion air.
Areas likely to have contaminants
Dry cleaning/laundry areas and establishments
Swimming pools
Metal fabrication plants
Beauty shops
Refrigeration repair shops
Photo processing plants
Auto body shops
Plastic manufacturing plants
Furniture refinishing areas and establishments
New building construction
Remodeling areas
Garages with workshops
USE SWEEP ELBOWS FOR ALL VENT AND AIR
PIPING WHEN POSSIBLE
