Additional features
(This information only applies if your TV
is able to receive Teletext.)
Teletext - is an information system that
displays text on your TV screen. Using
the Teletext information system you
can select a page of information on a
subject that is available in its list of
contents (index).
To operate Teletext
e Select a TV station on which Teletext
is being transmitted (check with a TV
programme guide).
e Press the Æ button. Usually the list
of contents (index) is displayed on the
screen.

. The following procedures apply only
after Teletext has been selected:
To select a page of Teletext
e Press the appropriate digit buttons
for the required Teletext page number.
The selected page number is displayed
at the top left corner of the screen. The
Teletext page counter searches until
the selected page number is located,
so that the required information is
displayed on the screen.
To return to the index page
e Press the Gi) button to directly select
the index page.
e Alternatively select the page number
of the index (e.g. page 100).
To select Teletext with a TV
programme
e Press the (4) button. The text is now
superimposed over the TV programme
on the screen.
e Press the (4) button again to return
to the Teletext page.
To switch between Teletext and the TV
programme
e Press the X button. The TV
programme appears, and (giis
displayed in the top left corner of the
screen.
e Press the X button again to return
to the Teletext page.

To select double height text
e Press the + button for the top half
of the information page to be displayed
in double height text.
e Press the + button for the bottom
half of the information page to be
displayed in double height text.
e Press the + button again for the full
page of normal height text.
To reveal 'concealed' information
(Sometimes a Teletext page contains
concealed information, for example in a
quiz or puzzle.)
e Press the ? button. The concealed
information is then displayed on the
screen.
e Press the ? button again so that the
concealed information is removed from
the screen.
To stop an automatic page-change
(More information may follow the page
of Teletext you have selected; and it is
automatically displayed after a short
period of time).
e Press the tX button to stop the
automatic page-change.
e Press the ES button again so that
the next page of text can be displayed.
To select a time-planned page
(You can select a page of Teletext
information which can then be
displayed on the TV screen at a certain
time.)
e Select the required Teletext page.
e Press the @ button.
e Select the required time by pressing
four digit buttons (e.g. 20.10).
e Press the X button to return to a
previously selected TV programme.
When the selected time is reached:
either,
The required Teletext page is
superimposed over the TV programme.
e Press the X button to remove the
TV programme from the screen.
or,
The time is displayed in the top left
corner of the screen.
e Press the X button to display the
Teletext page on the screen.
e Press the @ button to cancel this
"time-planned page' selection.
