Additional features
To select a subcode page
(Subcode pages are sub-sections of
long Teletext pages that can only be
displayed on the screen one section at
a time.)
@ Select the required Teletext page.
e Press the @ button.
e Press a digit button (for the required
subcode page).
e lf the subcode page is not
immediately available then press the X
button to return to the TV programme.
When the subcode page becomes
available the subcode number is
displayed in the top left corner of the
screen.
e Press the X button to display the
subcode page.
note: Time-planned and subcode
pages are only available with certain
pages on some Teletext broadcasts.
To select a Teletext subtitled TV
programme
(Subtitles can only be displayed on the
screen if the TV station adds this facility
to the TV programme - check with a TV
programme guide.)
e Select the Teletext page indicated in
the TV programme guide.
The TV programme with subtitles now
appears on the TV screen.
To 'fast' select Teletext pages
(Sometimes a page of Teletext
information can be selected quickly.)
e The next sequential page of Teletext
information can be selected by
pressing the RED button (e.g. page 101
can be selected after page 100).
or,
The subject-heading for the information
may have a particular colour, or can be
placed inside a coloured box.
e Press an appropriate RED, GREEN,
YELLOW or BLUE button.
To exit Teletext
e Press the C] button. The previously
selected TV station appears again on
the screen.
To display the time
e Press the @ button. The current time
is displayed in the top right corner of
the screen. (e.g. 21.00).
e Press the @ button again to remove
the time display.
note: The time can only be displayed
when Teletext is available on the
selected TV station.

[v] To connect a video recorder
(First you must refer to the operating
manual supplied with your video
recorder for connection details.)
e Switch off the TV before connecting
the video recorder.
e Connect the TV aerial cable to the "I
input on the video recorder.
e Connect one side of the cable
supplied with the video recorder to the
TV output of the video recorder and the
other side of the cable to the "I input
of the TV.
Additionally,
e A video recorder or camcorder can
be connected at the video/audio Input
sockets (cinch type) at the front of the
TV for 'playback' of tapes only.
or,
e The video recorder can also be
connected at the Euroconnector
socket at the back of the TV (a
support-bracket is also provided for
the Euroconnector cable on the back
of the TV). The Euroconnector gives
the advantage of stereo sound
reproduction from a suitable video
recorder.
note: To obtain an optimal sound and
picture signal we advise that you do not
connect the video/audio input sockets
and the Euroconnector simultaneously.
[v] To store the video recorder signal
on a program number
(After you have connected the video
recorder to the "IT socket you can store
the video recorder signal on a program
number.)
e Switch on the TV.
e Open the control-panel flap on the
TV.
1. Insert a pre-recorded tape in the
video recorder, and press the 'PLAY'
button on the video recorder.
2. Press the > <> button so that the
program number information is
displayed.
3. Press the EN button so that the TV
automatically searches for the video
signal. If necessary press this button
again until the video signal is located.
4. Select an available program number
by pressing the <P or > P program
button on the TV.
5. Press the >
button to store the
video signal on the selected program
number.
6. Press the 'STOP" button on the
video recorder.
e Close the control-panel flap on the
TV.
