BEFORE CALLING A SERVICE
ENGINEER
We strongly recommend that you carry out the following checks on your appliance before
calling a Service Engineer. It may be that the problem is a simple one which you can solve
yourself without the expense of a Service Call. If our Service Engineer finds that the problem
is one of those listed below. you will be charged for the call whether or not the appliance is
under guarantee.
PROBLEM
The cooker does not work.
The grill does not work.
The grill cuts out after being used
for a period of time.
The timer control does not work.
The oven(s) indicator light(s) do
not come on and the oven(s) do not
heat up.
The oven temperature appears to be
too high or too low.
The oven is not cooking evenly.
The oven fan is noisy.
The hotplates are slow to boil.
The hotplates simmer inadequately.
The ceramic glass is stained or
discoloured.
SOLUTION
i) Check the main cooker fuse is working.
ii) Check that it is switched on at the control panel.
iii) Check that the oven ts set for manual operation. See
INSIFUCTIONS.

ii) Check that the second oven control is at 'off' position.
i) Check that if. after being allowed to cool, the grill is now
operating normally.
i) Check that the Operating Instructions are being followed.

returning the cooker to manual operation after automatic

not left on automatic setting.
i) Check that the temperatures recommended in this
Instruction Book are being followed. Be prepared to adjust
the temperature up or down by 10°C to achieve the result
you want. |
