Cause

Remedy
► Consult a STIHL specialist dealer.
► Remove the battery.
► Allow the lawn mower to cool down.
► Clean the lawn mower.
► Do not switch the lawn mower on too fre‐
quently within a short time.
► If working with self-propulsion engaged:
disengage self-propulsion.
► If working with self-propulsion disenga‐
ged: go forwards slower.
► Set a higher cutting height.
► Mow shorter grass.
► Clean the lawn mower.
► Remove the battery and fit it again.
► Switch the lawn mower on.
► Tighten the screw.
► Sharpen and balance the blade.
► Charge the battery fully as described in
the instruction manual for
STIHL AL 101, 301, 500 chargers.
► Replace the battery.
► Clean the lawn mower.
► Sharpen and balance the blade.
► If working with self-propulsion engaged:
disengage self-propulsion.
► If working with self-propulsion disenga‐
ged: go forwards slower.
► Set a higher cutting height.
