CONVENIENT FUNCTIONS FOR KARAOKE
To adjust the microphone echo level
in karaoke, AUX mode
Echo is increased by turning the control to the right and decreased by
turing the control to the left.
To create a live atmosphere (Surround function}
In karaoke, normal, AUX mode

Press the SURROUND button, then select THEATER, KARAOKE
or MUSIC to create the desired atmosphere.
THEATER:
Creates an atmosphere suitable for movie discs.
KARAOKE:
Creates an atmosphere suitable for karaoke play.
MUSIC:
Creates an atmosphere suitable for music discs.

NOTE:
With discs whose volume level is excessive high, sound may be
distorted when the surround function is activated. In this case, set
SURROUND to OFF.
To set a desired pitch (Key control function)
in karaoke, AUX mode

=: Pitch is heightened each time this button is pressed (up to 5
steps from normal).
4: Pitch returns to normal.

: Pitch is lowered each time this button is pressed (down to 5
steps from normal).
@ The current pitch position is shown by the lit indicator.
NOTE:
Key contro! does not function when the NORMAL/KARAOKE/AUX
INPUT selector is set to the NORMAL position.
This function can be operated with the microphone sold separately
(Pioneer DM-V161).
Each time ONCE MORE is pressed, playback returns to a pointailittle
earlier in the song.
However, the position will not return to a point earlier than the
beginning of the selected song.
When playback returns to the beginning of the selected song and
pauses, press #1 or ONCE MORE to start playback.
e@ if you press ONCE MORE while the player is in pause mode,
playback will resume.
(Once more start function)
To play a single track
SINGLE
PLAY
@ The player automatically enters pause mode after having
played one track.
® Theunitis in single play mode when the indicators lit (on).
You can playback continuously when the indicator is out
(off).
@ When you change the position of the NORMAL/KARAOKE/
AUX INPUT selector, the initial settings are as follows:
KARAOKE: single play mode (indicator lights)
The single play mode is not available when the NORMAL/
KARAOKE/AUX INPUT selector is set to NORMAL or AUX.
@ The single play mode is activated automatically during
SCORING
(NORMAL/COMPETITION})
and cannot be
switched off.
