Your karaoke song is scored compared with vocals recorded
on the disc. When you finish to sing karaoke, the score is
displayed and then the bells are rung and cheers are heard
according to the score.
1 Set the NORMAL/KARAOKE/AUXINPUT
selector
to the KARAOKE position.
2 Press the SCORING NORMAL button.

3 Select the karaoke song with the Direct music
search buttons.

onthe front panel or the Digit buttons on the remote control
unit.
4 Sing a karaoke song.

5. When you finish singing, the score is displayed.

When the score is better than
before, the high score is renewed.
The bells are ringing.
the number of the displayed bell:
less than 60 points : 0
more than 60 points: 1
more than 70 points : 2
more than 80 points : 3
Only when the high score is
displayed, cheers are heard.

After several seconds, the player automatically returns to step
2. You can try another karaoke song repeating steps 2 and 3.
To return to normal karaoke mode:
@ Press the SCORING-NORMAL button again.
@ Press CLEAR on the remote control unit.
During scoring ...
e The fast-forward, fast-reverse, once more or key control
function can be carried out.
@ When the another karaoke song is selected, the previous
score displayed on the screen is reset.
® The single play mode is activated automatically and cannot
be switched off.
NOTES:
During selecting the chapter
or displaying the score, PAUSE
(88), PLAY (&) and SKIP (<¢<¢, =) do not function.
The following functions are not performed in scoring
mode.
Repeat, Surround, Programming, Clear Scan, Time display
on the screen, VOCAL PARTNER, ONE-TOUCH KARAOKE.

e Depending on the type of dise or song, it may not possible
to correctly determine the musical interval (the difference
in pitch between tones) of the vocals, even with karaoke
discs, and it becomes difficult to obtain a high score. This
is not a malfunction.
@ /f you sing during parts with no vocals, it is counted in
scoring and you won't be able to see your actual score.
On the other hand, the score will not be affected even if you
do not sing along in sections containing vocals.
