Read First

Follow these steps for a successful installation of your DBM.
1. If required, install new firmware. The 3600 Series DBM Option Installation
Instructions , Document No. 3610-A2-GZ52, explains how to determine whether it is
required.
2. Verify the switch settings on the DSU.
3. Install the DBM according to the Installation Instructions.
4. If you installed new firmware, use the Confg menu from the front panel to load the
factory default settings. The DSU will not function properly unless the factory
default settings are reloaded.
5. Enter and save directories, phone numbers, and SPIDs you will use. Make and
save any other configuration changes required for your network.
6. Power up the DSU and test the DBM.
