    Introduction Thank you for choosing the MSI EV charger. This EVSE is a reliable and efficient charging solution designed to meet the needs of electric vehicle owners. With its user-friendly interface and compact size, it is easy to install and operate, making it an ideal choice for both residential and commercial use.

    Installation Before installing the EVSE, please ensure that the installation site meets the following requirements. Site Requirements ∙ The installation site should be dry, well-ventilated, and free from direct exposure to sunlight. ∙ The installation site should have a flat and stable surface that can support the weight of the EVSE.

    Installation Steps 1. Choose a suitable location and ensure it is a masonry wall. Determine the installation position of the EVSE and mark the top two holes and the bottom two holes on the wall for drilling in alignment with the wall mount bracket. 2.
  • Page 9 3. Insert four 3/8’’-1/2’’ expansion bolts into the drilled holes. Ensure the bolts are fully inserted. (Note: Expansion bolts are not included and must be purchased separately.) Expansion Bolt Information: Bolt diameter (d): 3/8’’ Outer diameter of anchor (D): 1/2” Anchor length (A): 60 mm (2.36 inches or 2 3/8”) 4.
  • Page 10 5. Align the wall mount bracket with the expansion bolts. Place the bracket onto the wall, ensuring that the bolts align with the corresponding holes on the bracket. Install washers and nuts on each of the four expansion bolts. Tighten the nuts to a torque of 10.9Nm to securely attach the bracket to the wall.
  • Page 11 7. Remove the 4 screws that secure the plastic cover or camera module. Then, remove the plastic cover or camera module accordingly. 8. Install 4 M6 step screws (included in the screw bag) on the back of the EVSE.
  • Page 12 9. Hang the EVSE onto the wall mount bracket. 10. Use 2 M6 waterproof screws (included in the screw bag) to secure the EVSE onto the wall mount bracket.
  • Page 13 11. Insert the AC input power cable with the appropriate amperage rating through the bottom entry of the EVSE. Connect it to the L1, L2/N, and Ground terminals using UL-approved and insulated ring terminals. For the connections to L1 and L2/N, use M6 ring terminals with an inner diameter of 6.4 mm.

  • Page 15 13. For EV AI only, adjust the camera module as needed. To adjust the angle of the camera, locate the positioning screw on the camera turntable and loosen it. Then, rotate the camera to the desired position and tighten the screw to secure it in place.

    Initial Startup After the installation is complete, follow the steps below to start up the EVSE: 1. Ensure the EVSE is properly installed and securely mounted. 2. Confirm that the emergency stop button is in the released position. If not, rotate once to release.

    Verification After completing the installation and initial startup, it is important to verify that the EVSE is functioning properly. Follow the steps below to perform a verification check: 1. Connect an electric vehicle to the EVSE and ensure that it is properly connected and charging.

    Operation After the initial setup and verification, the EVSE is ready to use. To operate the EVSE, follow the steps below: 1. Connect your electric vehicle to the EVSE. 2. If you have an LCD display model, the screen will display the charging progress and any relevant information.
