Please read these instructions carefully before starting installation and retain for
future reference. The centre page test record can be removed and kept with the
building fire safety records.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK. ALWAYS ISOLATE THE POWER AT THE MAINS
BEFORE INSTALLING OR MAINTAINING THIS EMERGENCY LIGHT.
This product must be installed by a competent person in accordance with the
Building Regulations and the current edition of the IET Wiring Regulations
(BS7671).
This product is suitable for mounting on normally flammable surfaces such as
wood, plasterboard or masonry.
Emergency light fittings should have their own separate mains circuit, protected
with an appropriate MCB or fuse. They should not share their supply with other
lighting or electrical equipment.
This product is suitable for connection to a 220-240V~ 50Hz, fixed wiring supply.
This product must be earthed.
For indoor use only.
Ensure that after installation the equipment remains accessible for regular
maintenance and testing.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: Before drilling any holes, check that there are no hidden obstructions behind the
mounting surface such as pipes or cables.
1.
Loosen the 4 screws on each side of the diffuser and remove it.
2.
Remove the 4 screws holding the main LED plate assembly into the main casing
and allow the plate to pivot on it's safety strap.
NOTE: the LED plate assembly can with care, be removed from it's safety strap in
the casing, to aid initial installation of the product to the mounting surface.
3.
Create a wiring access hole centrally in the base of the casing where marked.
4.
Drill holes through the moulded mounting position indicators as required.
5.
Using the casing of the product as a template, mark the position of the fixing holes
on your mounting surface.
6.
Drill the fixing holes and fit wall plugs as appropriate.
7.
Feed the mains supply wiring through the central hole and secure the casing to the
mounting surface using suitable fixings (not supplied).
8.
Refit the plate assembly to it's safety strap (if previously removed) and make
connection to the mains supply using the screw terminal block attached to the plate.
Ensure that the correct polarities are observed i.e.:
● Brown – Live terminal 'L'
● Blue – Neutral terminal 'N'.
● Green/Yellow – Earth terminal 'E'
● Link wire 'L' to 'SW' can be removed to change between maintained and non-
maintained.
9.
Write the current date on the battery pack.
10. Connect the battery pack terminal connector to the in-line connector on the wiring
to the emergency module.
