Transcast Service: Basic Menu Operation
Menu operation is very simple. Follow the instructions provided below to learn how to operate
the interactive menu. When you are ready to Register, go to the next page.

To add a new email account, click here.
To change your email password, click here.
To change your telephone number or address, click here.
To disable call waiting, click here.

With the TV turned on, press "TV/WEB" on the keyboard to
show the Transcast interactive menu onscreen.

On the Keyboard, use the "Touch Pad" to move the directional
arrow to an option on the menu. When the arrow changes to a
hand with a pointing finger, press the "Left
Select Button" on the keyboard to go to that
option.

Use the free Transcast interactive service to:
• Browse the Internet (World-wide Web).
• Send or receive simple Email messages.
• Scan news articles, various online shopping opportunities,
and other interactive options.

When finished with your interactive session, press the "Phone
Hangup" hot key to exit Transcast and then press TV/Web to
return to TV viewing.
You can also use the direct-access "Hot" keys on the top and bottom rows of the
keyboard. See page 38 for Hot key descriptions.

When being used, the keyboard should always be pointed at the TV screen in such a
way as to allow for an unrestricted visual path so that the IR signals from the key-
board will reach the IR sensor on the front of the TV.

Navigating the
Transcast Menu:
Scroll, Click, or Press
• Scroll, using the Touch Pad
to move the on-screen arrow
• Click, the Left Select
Button to choose an option,
or -
• Press a direct-access "Hot
Key" on the keyboard to go
to a feature.
• Use the Up / Down / Left /
Right keyboard directional
arrows to move to the next
possible selection or link.
• For ease of entering infor-
mation, the arrow cursor
changes to a convenient
text "I-Beam" Cursor
when there is a need to key-
in text. For example, to
answer the questions on the
Registration form. See the
next page.
