OOPRO LOGIC
Enjoying sound in a variety of
reproduction modes
This unit enables sound to be enjoyed in four reproduction modes—
AC-3, SURROUND, 3 STEREO and STEREO—depending on the
input source.
Press POWER.
Turn on the power to the other connected AV components as
well.
Press one of the input select buttons to select
the input source.
The indicator above the pressed button now lights.
DIGITAL 1: Component with digital output connector which
has been connected by the Optical-fiber cable
DIGITAL 2: Component with digital output connector which
has been connected by the coaxial cable
LINE:
Component which has been connected by the ste-
reo connection cable
When DIGITAL 1 or DIGITAL 2 has been selected:
The reproduction modes in step 3 can be selected.
When LINE has been selected:
The analog sound signals input through LINE input terminals
are directly output to the left and right front speakers via the
connected component.
"THROUGH" appears on the display.
Only the power button and select buttons function when LINE
has been selected.
Press one of the AC-3, QO PRO LOGIC
and
STEREO
buttons to select the reproduction
mode.
The selected reproduction mode appears on the display.
AC-3 mode
Normally, select this mode.
Digital sources recorded in the Dolby Digital (AC-3) format can
be played and output in the AC-3 mode for your enjoyment.
PRO LOGIC mode
Each time the PRO LOGIC button is pressed, the SURROUND
mode or 3 STEREO mode is selected alternately.
SURROUND
mode cannot be selected if the surround speakers
have been set to NONE by the speaker setting, and 3 STEREO
mode cannot be selected if the center speaker has been set to
NONE by the speaker setting.
STEREO mode
®Select this mode to enjoy music CDs and other regular stereo
reproduction.
@Select this mode when you use the headphones.

When this unit is connected to a receiver or amplifier hav-
ing 6-channel discrete input terminals:
Set the component (receiver or amplifier) to the
6-channel discrete input mode.
If this unit is connected to three integrated amplifiers, set the
input selector on the amplifiers to the connected input terminal
such as the "AUX" terminal.
Refer to the instruction manuals of the components.
