MANUAL TUNING
1 Press the TUNER/BAND
button repeatedly to
select the band.
LH, HE, HR:
K, EZ:
> FM—>
AM
[—> FM
—>MW—>LW
2 Press the «<4 DOWN or UP >
button to select
@ station.
Each time the button is pressed, the frequency changes.
When a station is received, "TUNE" is displayed for 2 seconds. °
During FM stereo reception, «@ js displayed.
To search for a station quickly (Auto Search)
Keep the << DOWN or UP >
button pressed until the tuner
starts searching for a station.
After tuning in to a station, the
search stops.
To stop the Auto Search manually, press the «4 DOWN or UP
PP button.
*The Auto Search may not stop at stations with very weak
signals.
To play a tuned station when the power Is off
Press the TUNER/BAND button.
The power is turned on and
the tuned station is played.
When an FM stereo broadcast contains noise
Press the
MONO TUNER
button on the remote control to display
"MONO". —> EY
Noise is reduced, although reception is monaural.
Jo restore stereo reception, press the button so that MONO
disappears.
To change the AM (MW) tuning interval
The AM (MW) tuning interval can be set to 9 kH2/steps or 10
kHz/steps.
The default setting are shown below.
LH model:
10 kHz
Except LH model:
9 kHz
If you use this unit inan area where the frequency allocation
system is different from the default one, change the tuning interval
as follows.
Press the POWER
button while pressing the TUNER/BAND
button.
To reset the interval, repeat this procedure.
When the AM (MW) tuning interval is changed, all preset stations
(see page 24) are cleared. The preset stations have to be set
again.
