  • Page 4 SCM8101 2) Electrical safety a. The terminal plug of the tool must fit into the outlet. The plug may not be modified in any way. Do not use an adaptor plug together with grounded power tools. The original plugs and the appropriate outlets reduce the risk of an electrical shock.

  • Page 8 SCM8101 Placement See Figure 5 for the minimum working 17" clearances. Remember that the sharpener has no specific front or back side and must be repositioned depending on the desired grinding/sharpening/honing action. 20" Figure 5 Mount The Wet Stone The sharpener is shipped with the Wet Stone off of the machine. Make sure that the machine is not plugged in before assembling the stone onto the sharpener.
  • Page 9 SCM8101 Grinding Tips Always be sure the grinding wheel is wet before grinding by having the reservoir filled and in the proper location. Wear the proper protective clothing. Safety glasses/face shield and a dust mask should be worn at all times.

Attach the universal support in the horizontal ttach the universal support in the horizontamounts as shown in Figure 7. Be sure it is securely positioned and will not move during grinding.
