1 . 0 O W N E R ' S M A N U A L
Congratulations on your new loudspeakers. Please read this manual carefully
before you unpack and install your new loudspeakers to get the most out of your
purchase. You can find more information on our website: www.dali-speakers.com or
by contacting your authorized DALI dealer.
2 . 0 SA F E T Y P R E C A U T I O N S
•
Always follow all safety guidelines.
•
DALI PHANTOM E models are intended for indoor use.
•
The PHANTOM E models must only be used indoors and never in extreme hot
or cold temperatures.
•
The PHANTOM E WR models (Weather Resistant) are suitable for high
humidity and covered outdoor locations (IP 65 rated).
•
DALI PHANTOM E models must not be exposed to direct sunlight. For use in
direct sunlight, we recommend the E WR models.
•
Power off the amplifier when connecting the loudspeaker cables to the
loudspeaker and the amplifier.
•
DALI PHANTOM E series must be installed by professionals.
•
Always make sure that there are no installations such as gas pipes, ventilation,
cables, etc. in the ceiling or wall at the mounting location.
•
The wall or ceiling must be able to support the speaker's weight – see the
technical specifications.
•
If the loudspeakers are mounted in a ceiling or wall where there is a vapor
barrier inside the wall, make sure not to pierce/damage the barrier.
•
For extreme SPL performance we advise to low cut the signal in the amplifier
or processor driving the speaker.
•
Extended use of loudspeakers at high volume levels may cause hearing
damage. Do not raise the volume beyond comfortable levels.
3 . 0 U N P A C K I N G / P A R T S L I S T
Be careful not to damage the contents when you unpack the parts. Check that all
parts are contained in the cardboard box, see table 1. Keep the packaging materials
if your loudspeakers should need to be relocated or serviced.

DALI PHANTOM E-series provides the unique, acclaimed sound of a true DALI
PHANTOM loudspeaker for easy and discreet integration into your home.
DALI PHANTOM E-series is equally suited for stereo and home cinema systems
where good sound quality is a high priority. DALI PHANTOM E-series is also very
suitable in larger areas where high quality sound is desired, e.g. in hallways or shop
areas. DALI recommends the use of a subwoofer together with DALI PHANTOM
E-series to permit reproduction of the lowest frequencies and an overall
enhancement of your sound system.
