The display screen shakes.
Excessive noise or "garbage" on the
screen.
Data is overwriting data from the
previous screen.
Ensure that the terminal is not located
next to another electrical device, such
as a terminal or printer. Electric motors
and high voltage equipment often
provide a source of electromagnetic
interference that cause power drops.
Ensure that the Communications
Setup menu's parameters are
configured correctly.
2 Check the terminal out on a good line.
3 Enter the Communications Setup
menu, and put the terminal in Local
mode from the Comm Mode
parameter, and enter some text on
the screen.·
If the terminal's Keycode parameter
from the Keyboard Setup menu is set
for Scan, reset it to ASC 11.
4 Default the setup and reconfigure all
parameters.
Enter setup, and ensure that the
AutoScroll parameter in the General
Setup menu is set to On.
