28. Wiper
WARNING :
Be sure to turn the power OFF before the following work in order to prevent personal injury due to
unintentional starting of the sewing machine.

Adjust the position of the wiper according to the
thickness of material to be sewn. Normally, adjust
the position of the wiper as described below:
1) Turn the handwheel in the normal direction of
rotation to align white marker dot ❶ on the hand-
wheel with marker dot ❷ on the machine arm.

2) Tighten wiper adjustment screw ❹ to secure in
such a way as to allow wiper collar ❺ to push
wiper ❸.
Adjust the distance from the flat portion of wiper
❸ to the center of needle to 1 mm.
