REMOVING THE FLYWHEEL

1. Remove:
• Flywheel nut
• Washer
TIP
Hold the flywheel "1" with the rotor holding tool
"2" while loosening the flywheel nut.

NOTICE
Make sure that the end of rotor holding tool
handle does not contact the fins "a" or pro-
jections "b" on the flywheel.

2. Remove:
• Flywheel "1"
• Woodruff key
TIP
• Use a flywheel puller set "2" to separate the fly-
wheel and crankshaft.
• Make sure the flywheel puller is centered over
the flywheel.

INSTALLING THE FLYWHEEL

1. Install:
• Flywheel "1"
• Washer
• Flywheel nut
Flywheel nut
120 N·m (12 kgf·m, 89 lb·ft)
TIP
Hold the flywheel with the rotor holding tool "2"
while tightening the flywheel nut.
