WARN ING!
The transmission of vibration and
noise emission during the use of
the power tool may differ from the
declared values. It depends on the
conditions of use of the power tool
and the processed materials.
The specified level of noise and vibration
refers to the work for which the power
tool is intended.
WARN ING!
Use personal protective equipment
according to work conditions.
8. PREPARATION FOR WORK
WARN ING!
Remove the battery before prepar-
ing, during maintenance, and after
using the power tool.
Unpack the power tool and inspect the
package for external damage.
If you have stored or transported the
power tool at a temperature lower than
that at which it is planned to be used,
you must make sure that there is no con-
densation on the power tool. If conden-
sation forms on the power tool, its further
preparation for work or operation is pro-
hibited until the condensate dries com-
pletely.
Adjusting the position of the front
additional grip DHR-200BC Ultra
To adjust the position of the addition-
al grip, first of all loosen the fixation by
turning the grip counterclockwise (1)
(Fig. 4). Then choose a convenient posi-
tion of the additional grip (2) (Fig. 4) and
fix it securely by turning the grip clock-
wise (3) (Fig. 4).
During work, if necessary, fix the work-
piece with a clamping device or vice.
When separating a certain part from the
main structure, to avoid injury to yourself
and others, fence off the work area to pre-
vent unauthorized persons from entering.
Always use the auxiliary grip when work-
ing, securely holding the power tool with
10
two hands by the main and additional
grip.
Installation and adjustment of the
depth limiter
To install the depth limiter (1) (Fig. 5),
press the latch (2) and insert the depth
limiter into the seat in the grip. Adjust the
depth limiter to the desired length and
release the latch.
Installation of accessories (drills,
picks, chisels)
Before installation, clean the shank of the
accessory (wipe dry with a clean cloth),
and then lubricate with a small amount of
lubricant (0.51 g) for lubricating the ac-
cessory (for example, Litol-24) (Fig. 6).
To install, pull the chuck sleeve (1) (Fig. 7)
in the direction of the front auxiliary han-
dle and hold it in this position. Install the
accessory (2) as far as it will go by turn-
ing it, hit the locking grooves and release
the cartridge sleeve. The shank of the ac-
cessory is automatically fixed in the de-
sired position.
Use accessories with a shank type SDS-
Plus. Other types of accessories are pro-
hibited. Tools with SDS-Plus shanks move
freely in the chuck. This is explained by
the design features of SDSPlus cartridg-
es. Radial knock may occur in idle mode.
During operation, the tool is centered au-
tomatically, so it does not affect the ac-
curacy of drilling.
SDS-Plus drills are used for impact drill-
ing.
SDS-Plus drills are used for drilling with-
out impact action.
SDS-Plus picks and chisels are used for
chiselling and splitting of material.
Removal of accessories
Pull the cartridge sleeve (1) (Fig. 7) in the
direction of the front additional grip and,
holding it in this position, pull out the ac-
cessories (2), then release the cartridge
sleeve.
Installing/removing the battery
(Fig. 8)
Switch off the power tool before install-
ing or removing the battery.
To install the battery, align the tabs on
