Playing the Keyboard Along with Playback of the MIDI File

The Multi mode/Sequence Play mode should be used when you want to play the keyboard along with playback of the
MIDI file. This instrument is equipped with a 16-track sequencer for playback, allowing you to play back MIDI data of up
to 16 tracks.
Before executing the instructions below, prepare the MIDI file (via DAW software or other means) then save it to a USB
storage device. You should also create an appropriate Multi for playback.

Connect the USB storage device including
the MIDI files to the USB TO DEVICE terminal
on the rear panel of this instrument.

Press the [MULTI/SEQ PLAY] button a few
times to enter the Sequence Play mode.

Select the Chain Step 001 then select the
desired Multi for playback of the MIDI file by
using the data dial and the [DEC]/[INC]
buttons.

Move the cursor to Chain Step 002 by using
the cursor buttons then press the [ENTER]
button.
The File Load display appears.

Select the USB storage device path ("usb1-1"
in this example) then press the [ENTER]
button.

Select the desired MIDI file then press the
[ENTER] button.

Press the [ENTER] button after the display for
selecting the Sequence Chain Step number is
shown.

Press the [ENTER] button again after the
confirmation display is shown.
