MINOR MAINTENANCE TIPS
REAR WHEEL REMOVAL
1.
Ensure the motorcycle
is on a firm, flat surface
and the rear wheel is off
the ground.
2.
Gently remove the
brake hose along with
its rubber grommets
from the locating clips
on the swing arm.
3.
Loosen rear axle nut
on the right side and
remove along with
washer.
4.
Pull out the wheel axle from the left side, taking care
not to drop the wheel spacers.

Remove the brake
caliper assembly from
the slot in the swing
arm along with ABS
wheel speed sensor
and support it suitably
to avoid damage to the
brake hose and ABS
wheel speed sensor.
6.
Slide out the rear wheel
from the swing arm,
taking care not to drop
the spacers on the
wheel hub .
CAUTION
Do not press the brake lever when wheel is removed as
this will result in the brake pads coming out too far from
the brake caliper.
1.
Place a suitable spacer of 4 mm thickness, between
the brake pads to avoid pads compression in the
event the brake pedal is pressed accidentally.
