SETTING UP WELLCAM™
You can use a smart phone, tablet, or computer to set up W ellcam. I f you have the Alarm. com mobile app
on a smartphone or tablet, we highly recommend using the app to add W ellcam to your W i- Fi
network, set up recording rules, and conf igure the Call- out button.
I f you don' t have the Alarm. com mobile app, no worries ! Complete W ellcam' s installation with your
laptop' s or computer' s web browser by f ollowing the steps on page 4 of this guide.
WELLCAM™ SETUP FROM A LAPTOP OR COMPUTER
Connect W ellcam' s AC power adapter
1.
and plug i t into a non - switched outlet.
2. W ellcam will announce when i t is in Access
Point mode and the f ront LED will blink
white. I f you do not hear " Access Point
mode" or see blinking white after
approximately two minutes, f ollow these
steps to begin:

Press the Menu button.
•
Using the Volume buttons, select
Access Point .
•
W ait for W ellcam' s f ront LED l ight to
turn white.
3. Using a W i - Fi enabled laptop or
desktop computer, connect to
W ellcam' s W i-Fi network
(ADC: XX: XX: XX). XX: XX: XX is the
last six characters of W ellcam' s
MAC address. The camera' s MAC
address is located on the back of the
camera near the power cable and on
the box decal.
4. Using the same computer, go to the f ollowing
website: http:// w ellcam
5. Click the Scan button, select your network,
and enter your password. You can also
manually enter your SSID ( network name).
6. After you click the Submit button, W
ellcam' s LED will turn red. W ait a few
minutes for the LED l ight to turn solid
green.
7. Log in to the Customer W ebsite and
navigate to
Video > S et t i ngs > Add Video Devic e

8. Select the camera f rom the video device
ist or type in i ts MAC address to begin
adding the camera. The camera' s MAC
address is located on the back of the
camera near the power cable and on the
box decal.
9. Name your W ellcam and click Install.
10. Once W ellcam is added to your account,
W ellcam will conf igure i tself to your
network. This may take a few minutes,
please wait.
11. Click the Conf iguration button to set up
video notif ications and learn more about
W ellcam.
12. I f you want to add more recipients, go to
the Notif ications tab on the Customer
W ebsite and look for Video Callout
Notif ication.
Configuring Video Analytics for Wellcam
Before you begin the conf iguration process,
place W ellcam in i ts f inal location in the home.
Moving W ellcam after this setup process may
af fect the perf ormance of Video Analytics .
1. On your Customer Portal, select
Video > Rec ording Rules
2. Click Add Rule. W e recommend choosing
Video Analytics ( not available with all
service packages).
3. Follow the on- screen instruction.
