Power Supply
All power supplies described below are a black box for Service.
When defective, a new board must be ordered and the
defective one must be returned, unless the main fuse of the
board is broken. Always replace a defective fuse with one with
the correct specifications! This part is available in the regular
market.
Consult the Service website for the order codes of the boards.
Below some extra information of each board is given, in order
to help to determine which part of the set is defective.
9.2.1
Specifications
There are two types of the power supply used in the TV522
platform:
Power Supply (PSU) - without inverter - (for 32").
Integrated Power Board (IPB) - incl. inverter - (for 22 and
42").

Description
This power supply delivers four DC and four AC outputs:
3.3 V/ 200 mA DC for Standby
12 V/2.4 A DC for SSB power supply
± 12 V/200 mA DC for Audio power supply
Four identical AC power supplies for driving the backlights.
The Power Supply Unit is controlled via a digital input "Standby
# (Stdby)" and the "BL_ON-OFF" signal at the secondary side.

Protections
3V3 stdby output
Short-circuit proof with auto restart.
Over voltage protection should operate within 120% ~
140% of nominal value.
12Vssb
Short circuit protection with shut down and latch off.
The output will recover by turning AC off, removing the
short circuit and turning on the AC again.
Over voltage protection should operate within 120% ~
140% of nominal value.
Vaudio
Short circuit protection with shut down and latch off.
The output will recover by turning AC off, removing the
short circuit and turning on the AC again.
Over voltage protection should be less than absolute
value 19V.
No load
No unwanted conditions will occur.
Fuse protection
The power supply is protected against AC over current
by a fuse.
Over voltage protection
The power supply is protected against AC over voltage
up till 400 V ± 10%.
Short lamp protection
The DC and AC output will be switched off when the
AC lamp output is shorted to GND. The output will
recover by turning AC off, removing the short circuit
and turning on the AC again.
Open lamp protection
