Message Mode
You can leave audio/video messages for
Before you begin...
family or friends.
+ Connect the Camcorder to a power source.
For extended Camcorder use, it is recom-
mended to use the AC Adaptor as a power
source.
* Insert a cassette with record tab (see page 12).
e Set the POWER switch to CAMERA.
MESSAGE
I (A) Flip the LCD so that it faces
toward the lens.
(B) Press the MESSAGE button to
start recording your message.
* The LCD monitor must face forwards
to activate Message mode.
2 Press the MESSAGE button again to
end message recording.
e The Camcorder automatically rewinds
the tape to the message starting point,
and then goes into Stand-by mode.
«The Fally Lamp flashes during
Stand-by mode.

PRESS
PLAY BUTTON
3 Press the PLAY button to playback
the message.
* The LCD may be in any position for
message playback.
* To cancel the MESSAGE
mode:
Set the POWER
switch to OFF.
Note:
e Only one message can be recorded.
e lf the tape is ejected or the battery (when used) becomes depleted while in Stand-by
mode, the Message mode will be cancelled. To playback the message (tape is inserted
and/or new power source is attached), Set the POWER switch to VCR and press the
PLAY button.
e The MENU, TITLE and SECURITY MODE buttons are not activate during Message
mode.
e Title display cannot be displayed during Message mode.
e The Message button is not <active> when in Time Lapse mode and Programmed Rec
stand-by.
