permits air circulation around the transmitter may be
c o n s i d e r e d .
MICROPHONE PLACEMENT
The electret microphone does much to reduce the problem
of clothing noise; however, it is still advisable to secure the
body transmitter microphone to prevent its movement. When
plug-in type microphone cable connectors are used, care
must be taken to prevent accidental disconnection of the
microphone plug from the transmitter jack. The cable should
have enough slack to allow for extremes of body movement
and should be taped or otherwise secured in place.
A N T E N N A P L A C E M E N T
Microphone cables should be separated from the antenna
as far as possible to prevent interference. For maximum signal
propagation the antenna should be oriented vertically.
Use only those antennas recommended by aid
for use on the body.
The following antennas are available for use with Models
T X - 7 1 6 a n d T X - 9 1 6 .

with the transmitter on the body only; the antenna
is taped over one layer of clothing. Not to be used
in free space radiation circumstances.

body transmitters when the antenna must be
taped directly against the skin in body applications
