It the TX-716 /TX-916 appears to be inoperative, check the
following:
1. Ensure that the batteries are fresh and are supplying
rated voltage. Always use two batteries to power the
u n i t .
2. Ensure that the proper antenna is being used with the
t r a n s m i t t e r.
3. Ensure that the antenna is securely attached to the
a n t e n n a c o n n e c t o r .
4. Ensure that the microphone connector is securely
attached to the microphone connector.
5. Ensure that the receiver is tuned to the same frequency
as the transmitter.
6. Ensure that the Scrambled (SC) Clear (CL) switch is
set to the proper position.
