Interfacing Guide

This Interfacing Guide is designed to help you get
started using the 7020 Programmable Oigitizer on the
GPIB as quickly and easily as possible. This IIG pro-
vides information on setting up the 7020 for GPIB
operation as well as some program examples that il-
lustrate the communication with the 7020. This guide
is not intended to take the place of the 7020 Oper-
ators Manual or the manuals for your controller.
CONNECTING TO THE SYSTEM
Attach the 7020 to the GPIB using a standard
GPIB cable. The 7020 can be connected to the bus
from either the front-panel GPIB connector or when
installed in a R7603/ option 20 mainframe, from the
rear-panel GPIB connector.
Note, when using the
7020 with the R7603 Option 20, be sure the jumper
cable (Part number 175-7151-00) is installed in the
7020.
