SKIP

tape
rapidly adVances wnen a
delete is read; and the
delete
signal

punched or sent to a remote printer.
This switch must be in the
READ
position
for
normal Reader operation.
LOCK/NORM.
I f
this
swi tch
is
in tne
LOCK
position, it prevents the Reader
from
oeing
turned
on
either
locally
or
fro~
a remote
location.
READING TAPE
Lift the upper tape guide (over the
sprocket
wheel)
on
the
front
of the Reader drawer.
Insert the
beginning
of
the
tape
in
the
bottom
tape
guide
so that the teeth in the
sprocket wheel mesh with tape sprocket holes.
The tape will run
through
the
Reader
head
from
left
to right.
~ith
the tape correctly
aligned with the sprocket
wheel,
close
the
uoper
tape
guide to hold tne tape firmly in
place.
Check out all functions of
the
tape
Header
with your Printer in the LOCAL mode.
The
tape
Reader will read and transmit ddta
at the speed set on tne Printer RATE switch.
