TROUBLESHOOTING AND EMER-
GENCy PROCEDURES
1. The Dometic, LLC Power Window Awning is de-
signed for safety even in the event of electrical
failure. With this in mind, the motor brake will not
allow the awning to open or close unexpectedly
in the event of power failure. If you cannot open
or close the awning by pressing the wired remote
switch, check the following:
Check for any physical obstructions or damage to
the awning.
Check that the 15Amp fuse for the awning's cir-
cuit is not burned out.
Check that the battery voltage is at least
12.5VDC.
If possible, check that appropriate electrical con-
nections are secure and free of rust.
2. If none of the procedures above are successful,
you will need to visit a Dometic Authorized Ser-
vice Center.
Driving Hazard, Never drive your vehicle with
the awning extended or unsecured. Failure
to follow these instructions could cause
death or serious personal injury.
3. If the awning is in its extended position, you will
need to secure it in its closed position before driv-
ing your vehicle. Follow the following procedure:
Push the front cover of the awning closed against
the case.
Note: The fabric may not roll in when cover is closed
against case. If the fabric does not roll in, tuck in the
excess inside the awning before shutting the front cover
against the case.
Secure the hardware in the closed position by
sliding a sturdy rope, nylon string, wire, or wire
tie behind the hardware hook. Take care not to
scratch or damage the coach wall (See FIG. 10A
& 10B).
Tie securely around the front of the front channel.
This will keep the front cover secured against the
awning case. Make sure to secure both hard-
ware arms.
