B. Awning Installation
1. Remove any packaging material surrounding the
awning case.
2. For ease of installation, apply silicone lubricant to
the first 2-3 feet of awning rail.
3. Slide the awning into the awning rail. To aid in
the installation, flare end of awning rail before at-
tempting to slide awning into rail (See Fig. 2A).
Note: For best results, hold the awning case at an angle
from the wall of the coach. The appropriate angle results
when the bottom edge of the case is lifted from the wall
approximately ½ inches (just enough to allow your fingers
to slide in between the case and the coach wall) (See FIG
3). Failure to hold the case at the appropriate angle may
result in binding and difficult installation.

4. Center awning over window. The edge of the
case will extend approximately one inch beyond
the edge of the awning rail on each side.
5. If it is not possible to slide the awning into the
awning rail due to obstructions, it is possible to
"snap" the awning into place. To do this, hold the
awning at the desired location in front of the aw-
ning rail. Hook the awning to the rail by holding it
at a 45º angle to the coach wall and gently sliding
the feature at the back of the case into the awning
rail. Swing the case down until it snaps against
the wall.
Note: This may be easier to accomplish in a progressive
motion rather than all at once. Start on one end and snap
in place one section at a time (12-16 inches) down the
length of the awning. The awning case will flex and roll
enough to allow this procedure.
6. The front rail should have some slack with respect
to the case. This is normal and desirable for easy
assembly of the hardware arms. If the front rail
is rolled up tightly against the case, you may give
it some slack by briefly energizing the motor with
a portable 12VDC source (you will find the power
cord tucked inside the case). Apply positive po-
larity to brown wire. You are now ready for the

hardware installation.

C. Hardware Installation
1. Each hardware arm assembly comes with two
wire ties keeping it closed. The tie kept in place
by the caution/ warning decal must remain in
place at this time. The slack in this wire tie will
allow the hardware to be opened only partially.
Remove only the other tie and leave the one held
in place by the caution/ warning decal.
