1) With this unit, use only cassettes marked
VHS),
2) This unit is designed to record and play
back signals in the following color
systems: PAL, MESECAM, NTSCa.s,
N1SCa.43. Recording or playback using
other color systems is not possible.
e |f the SECAM TV signal recorded with
this unit is played back on another VCR/
VCP of the SECAM system, the picture
becomes monochrome. :
e If the SECAM TV signa! recorded with
this unit is played back on another VCR/
VCP of the PAL system, the color of the
picture may be abnormal.
« Acassette recorded by a VCR using the
SECAM system can be played back in
monochrome with this unit.
¢ This unit cannot be used in France. In
France, use a VCR/VCP that uses the
SECAM color system.
Be sure to select the same TV system
with the SYSTEM button as that of the
input signal. If not, digital conversion
does not function properly and record-
ing cannot be performed normally.
4) This unit records signals in the SP
(standard speed) mode.
Audio-visual material may consist of
copyrighted works which must not be
recorded without the authority of the
owner of copyright. Please refer to the
relevant law of your country.

To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do
not expose this appliance to rain or moisture.
Do not attempt to open the cabinet. There
are no parts inside you can service your-
self. Refer all servicing to qualified service
personnel.
To ensure reliable operation and to pro-
tect the unit from overheating, the venti-
lation slots and openings must not be
blocked or covered. Avoid placing the unit
in enclosed spaces such as a bookcase
unless there is adequate proper ventilation.
Keep the unit away from radiators and
heat sources.
Avoid using the unit near strong magnetic
fields.
Do not push objects of any kind into this
unit through the cabinet slots as they could
touch current-carrying parts or short-
circuit parts resulting in fire, electric shock
or damage to the unit.
Be careful not to spill liquid of any kind on
this unit. If liquid is spilled into the unit,
consult a qualified service engineer.
Use this unit in a horizontal (flat) position
only.
If the picture or soundis affected, keep the
unit away from the TV.
Install the unit at least 1 m away froma
radio or receiver. Otherwise, noise may
occur during radio reception.
10) Do not place heavy objects on the unit.
This may damage the cabinet or cause
trouble in the unit.
11) Unplug the unit from the AC outlet when it
is not to be used for a long period of time.
12) When there is lightning, unplug the unit
from the AC outlet immediately. Never
touch the antenna wire during lightning.

magnétoscope du systeme SECAM peut
étre reproduite sur cet appareil, mais en
noir et blanc.
¢ Cet appareil ne peut étre utilisé en
France. En France, employer un
magnétoscope enregistreur/ecteur qui
utilise le systeme couleur SECAM.
Veiller a choisir le méme systeme de
télévision avec la touche SYSTEM que
celui du signal de l'entrée. Dans le cas
contraire, la conversion numérique ne
s'effectue pas cor-rectement et il est
impossible de proceder a un
enregistrement normal.
Cet appareil enregistre les signals en
mode SP (lecture standard).
Les informations audiovisuelles sont
généralement protégées par des droits
d'auteur et ne peuvent étre enregistrées
sans Vautorisation spéciale du
propriétaire des droits d'auteur. Veuillez
vous référer acet effet aux lois en vigueur
dans votre pays.
