Searching the Tape (Date Search)
You can search for the recording start or end position of the last recorded day from
anywhere on a tape.
1. Press down and turn the POWER switch to PLAY.
2. Press the DATE button.
• SEARCH is shown in the display.

3. To search for the start of the last recorded date, press the ◄◄
(rewind) button. To search for the end, press the ►► (fast forward)
button.
• « SEARCH appears in the display when you push the ◄◄ (rewind) button
and SEARCH ►► appears when you push the ►► (fast forward) button.
• The tape stops automatically at the start or end of the last recorded date.
• The screen returns to the counter display.
Notes:
• I! the date changed during recording, (when recording continued after 12 o'clock
at night) the start position sets to the previous day's filming start position.
Do any ot the following to stop the on-going date search operation"
- Push the ►, ■ EJECT A button.
- Turn the POWER switch to OFF.
- Push the DATE button.
• You cannot use the date search if :
- the cassette was removed after finishing filming (recording).
- there is no lithium backup battery in the video camera.
- the tape was recorded using a video camera other than this camcorder.
• You can use the date search even if you have not recorded the date.
• A date cannot be identified if the total recording time on that day was less than
30 seconds.
