PCMCIA Network Connections

If you have a network PCMCIA card, you will first need to have your
WinBook XL3 recognize the card and load the necessary drivers (see
above). Once your network card has been recognized and Windows 98
has installed the necessary networking files, you will be asked to restart
your system to allow the new networking environment to function.
Windows 98 will configure your files and then ask you to restart your
system so that the new files can take effect. Reboot your system. If you
have added network functions for the first time in this process, you will be

Windows 98 will install
standard networking
protocols for cards it has
recognized. Contact your
network administrator to
determine if you will need to
configure your system for other
protocols. If you will be using
your network outside Windows
98 (e.g. in DOS), you will need
to check with the manufacturer
of your network card or with
your network administrator to
determine how to set up the
proper drivers for this
environment.
