It offers a programmable 24-hour patient out-of-office blood pressure measurement on the ambulatory mode. This device can be used in both home and professional environments. The BD280 can be used in connection with a computer running the BIOS Diagnostics BD280 Analyzer software. The memory data can be transferred to the computer by connecting the monitor via a USB cable.

Contraindications • The measuring arm suffers from injuries (e.g. open wounds) or conditions (e.g. intravenous drip and blood vessel stent implant) making it unsuitable for surface contact or pressurization of the arm. • The application of the cuff would apply undue pressure on a limb where intravascular access/therapy, or an arteriovenous shunt is present.
