1. Porsche recommends an authorized Porsche dealer, as they have trained technicians and the required parts and tools.
Oil temperature too high
Reduce load

Visit workshop
Driving permitted
Refill coolant immediately
Do not continue driving

Engine oil temperature is too high.

Immediately stop when it is safe to do so, switch off the engine and let it
cool down.

Do not continue driving.

Select "Oil measurement" on the multifunction display:
g Refer to chapter "Checking engine oil level" on page 206.

Add engine oil if required.
g Refer to chapter "Choosing and topping up engine oil" on page 207.
Engine oil temperature gage is faulty.
Driving permitted.
e
Have the fault rectified by an authorized Porsche dealer.
Engine coolant level is too low.
e
Immediately stop when it is safe to do so, switch off the engine and let it
cool down.

Check the coolant level.

Add engine coolant if required.
