1. Briskly submerge the vibratory poker into the fresh concrete. Leave it there for several seconds, then
slowly pull it out.
The concrete is sufficiently compacted when:
No more bubbles rise to the surface.
The concrete no longer subsides.
The sound made by the vibratory poker no longer changes.
2. Submerge the vibratory poker into the concrete in all areas of the formwork.
▶ Avoid bringing the vibratory poker into contact with the reinforcement. The adherence of the concrete
to the reinforcement can be lost and the vibratory poker can be damaged.
3. Compact the concrete with particular intensity at the formwork corners, because these are the areas with
the highest density of reinforcement.
The result of compaction depends on the following points:
Dwell time of the vibratory poker in the concrete.
Consistency of the concrete.
Density of reinforcement.
Diameter of the vibratory poker.
When you use a small-diameter vibratory poker you have to compact for longer to achieve the
same effect as you would with a large-diameter vibratory poker.

Care and maintenance
WARNING
Electric shock hazard! Attempting care and maintenance with the supply cord connected to a power outlet
can lead to severe injury and burns.
▶ Always unplug the supply cord before carrying out care and maintenance tasks.
Care
After each use, clean the vibratory poker and the protective hose in running water at low pressure (e.g.
with a water hose).
Carefully remove stubborn dirt from the tool. Remove concrete residues by inserting the product into a
bed of gravel with the motor running.
Do not clean with a high-pressure cleaner. Penetrating water can damage the product.
Use only a slightly damp cloth to clean the casing. Do not use cleaning agents containing silicone as
they can attack the plastic parts.
Maintenance
WARNING
Danger of electric shock! Improper repairs to electrical components may lead to serious injuries including
burns.
▶ Repairs to the electrical section of the tool or appliance may be carried out only by trained electrical
specialists.
Check all visible parts and controls for signs of damage at regular intervals and make sure that they all
function correctly.
