Modular products require installation in a suitable PXI/LXI chassis. The module is designed for indoor use only. PREOPERATION CHECKS (UNPACKING) 1. Check the module for transport damage and report any damage immediately to Pickering Interfaces. Do not attempt to install the product if any damage is evident.
For a system comprising more than one chassis, turn ON the last chassis in the system followed by the penultimate, etc, and finally turn ON the external controller or chassis containing the system controller. 9. For Pickering Interfaces modular LXI installation there is no requirement to use any particular power up sequence.

The “Y” bus can be used for monitoring equipment such as a scope or DMM, and test voltages and fault conditions can be applied via the switched “LY” connections. The 40-525A-002 has the same architecture but with a 16x4 matrix. This is shown in Figure 4.2.
PROGRAMMING THE MODULE Here are examples of using the drivers with the 40-525A Signal Insertion and Monitor Matrix: This example follows a possible test scenario where a signal is routed from the UUT on the X bus to test equipment on the LX bus. Next a matrix crosspoint is enabled to route the signal to the Y bus, then it is disconnected from the test equipment and routed to an LY bus terminal which could allow the connection of a load or a fault condition.

For PXI modules which are supported in one of Pickering Interfaces’ Modular LXI Chassis (such as the 60-102B and 60-103B) no module software update is required.
