How to Search for a Particular Scene
To find a scene, play the disc in reverse or forward at high speed. The sound is automatically muted during search play.
Locate the SHUTTLE Ring on the Remote Commander or the SCAN (<4) buttons on the front panel of the player.
To Change Speed and Direction Gradually Rotate the SHUTTLE Ring on the Remote in
(Variable Spee d Scan)* the forward or reverse direction.
Scan at 10 times the normal speed
Scan at 30 times the normal speed
(Same speeds are available in the reverse
direction.)
The play speed changes according to the
degree you rotate the SHUTTLE Ring.
The illustration indicates the approximate
speeds.
By holding down SCAN (</>) on the
player, you can scan scenes at a constant
SHUTTLE Ring speed.
To Resume Normal Play......... Release the SHUTTLE Ring or SCAN (<¢<4/
PP) button.
* A certain amount of visual noise and instability is inevitable with all variable speed operations.
