To chisel, turn the switch to the chisel-
ing position.
If you need to change the position when
using the bit in chiseling mode, turn the
switch to the "Adjusting bit position" po-
sition. Change position. After that, return
the switch to the "chiseling" mode and
continue working.
WA RNI NG!
Use the switch only when the mo-
tor of the power tool has come to a
complete stop.
Excessive pressure on the power
tool will reduce performance. Too
much pressure can shorten the ser-
vice life of the punch.
Secure the workpiece if necessary. It is
more reliable to fix with a clamping de-
vice or vice.
If you are working in the chiseling mode,
turn on the impact drilling mode once ev-
ery 10 minutes. Let the power tool run for
about 30 seconds with no load.
Take periodic breaks during operation to
cool down the power tool and take a rest
for the operator. When working for more
than 1 hour, stop for 10 minutes. Let the
power tool cool down.
If the power tool works with accessories
of the maximum permissible diameter,
more time is needed for cooling.
Adjusting the depth limiter (models
BH-14S/BH-20)
To install the depth limiter, first loos-
en the depth limiter fixing screw (4)
(Fig. 2). Then insert the depth limiter into
the seat (3) in the handle. Adjust the re-
quired length of the depth limiter and
tighten the screw (4).
Dust collector (for models BH-10,
BH-14S, BH-20)
When drilling holes in a ceiling, install the
dust collector on the drill. This will help
prevent dust from getting into the chuck.
Temperature protection system
BH-40
If the power tool overheats (due to high
ambient temperature or overloading of
12
the hammer drill), the temperature pro-
tection system will be activated and the
power tool will be turned off. Unplug the
hammer drill and allow it to cool down
before resuming work.
Safety clutch
If the accessory is jammed in the materi-
al being processed, immediately release
the power button of the hammer. The
safety clutch will disconnect the engine
and accessories. Disconnect the power
tool from the mains. After that, remove
the accessories from the processed ma-
terial. Check that the power tool is work-
ing properly . Only after that continue
work with the potary hammer.
WA R NI NG !
The safety clutch works only if the
power tool is securely held. The
safety clutch may not work if the
power tool is held with one hand,
by the casing or contrary to safety
regulations! This can lead to injury!
The manufacturer is not responsible
for the consequences caused by im-
proper use of the power tool!
