Before Operating:
*
Before plugging the power cord into an AC outlet, check to be
sure the individual components are connected correctly
* Point the Remote Control Unit at the REMOTE SENSOR on the
target component.
¢ The range of the remote control is about 23 feet (7 m), Make sure
there are no obstacles between your remote and your equipment
that may block the signal.
©
Use the keys on the external panel of the remote control unit, only
when it is firmly closed.
You can not operate the keys on the external panel, when it is
open.

operating the component
connected
by COMPU
LINK
SYNCHRO-3 remote cable, or operating the TV connected by AV
COMPU
LINK cable, point the remote at your receiver.

Ifa malfunction occurs when the power is ON, unplug the power
cord and then plug it in again.
1. Press the POWER key to turn the receiver on.

To listen to another audio source while watching VCR 1 or VCR 2:
Press either the VCR 1 or VCR 2 key, and then press the key for the
desired audio source.

using the Muiti Cursor keys. See ''Multi Cursor keys'' on the right.

4. Adjust the output sound level using the VOLUME
keys.

Important!
Listening to an extremely loud sound may cause a hear-
ing defect. Adjust the volume properly. Especially when using head-
phones, avoid listening to an extremely loud sound

Depending on the source, different functions are assigned to the Multi
Cursor keys. You must press the Source Select keys first before use
the Multi Cursor keys.
FM, AM mode
A:
Scans to higher preset channel.
Vv _: Scans to lower preset channel
PHONO mode
p> : Starts play
m@ : Stops play.
CD mode
® : Starts play.

Skips to the beginning of the previous track
hpi: Skips to the beginning of the next track.
@ : Stops piay.
TAPE 1 mode
p> : Starts playback.
<4:
Fast winds the tape from right to left.
hb: Fast winds the tape from left to right.
@ : Stops play
VCR 1, VCR 2 mode
® : Starts playback.
<4: Rewinds video tape.
bp: Fast-forwards video tape.
@ : Stops play.
= Using the Sleep Timer
The Sieep Timer shuts off the receiver (to enter the STANDBY mode)
when the preset time intervals have elapsed.
1. Press the SLEEP key on the remote control unit to set the timer
setting mode.
2. Each time the SLEEP key pressed subsequently, the timer can be
set up to 80 minutes, in 10 minutes muitiples
continuously lit
SLEEP,
turn off after about 3 seconds.
3. After the minute display turns off, press the SLEEP key once more
to display the remaining time in minutes.
