OPERATION
BEFORE STARTING THE GENERATOR
Verify that:
l The generator is placed in a safe, appropriate location.
l The generator is on a dry, flat, and level surface.
l Oil and fuel levels are within safe operating range.
l All loads are disconnected from the control panel recep-
tacles.

STARTING THE GENERATOR
See Figures 16 - 17.
DANGER
NOT move or tip the generator during operation.
WARNING
generator is clear before you begin.
l Place the generator in a safe, appropriate location.
l Unplug all loads.
l Check oil and fuel levels. If needed add oil, refill the LP
gas cylinder, or add gasoline.
l Using the fuel selector switch, select Gasoline or Propane
l Start the flow of your desired fuel and stop the flow from
other fuel sources.
For gasoline, open the fuel valve and turn off the flow of
propane gas.
For propane, open the cylinder valve on the LP gas cylinder
and turn off the flow of gasoline.
To start the generator:
l Put the engine run/stop switch in the RUN (I) position.
l Pull the choke out to the cold start position.
NOTE: If the engine is warm, push the choke in to the
warm start position (about 2/3 of the way).
l Firmly grasp and pull the recoil handle slowly until you feel
increased resistance. At this point, pull the recoil handle
rapidly away from the generator until the engine starts.
NOTE: Gently return the recoil handle into place after
starting the unit. Do not let it snap back against the unit.
During initial starting, additional pulls may be required to
prime the fuel pump.
l After the engine starts, push the choke in to the warm
start position.
To add loads after starting the generator:
l When the generator output stabilizes, you can safely
