PREVENTING DOMESTIC ACCIDENTS
Even minor burns and scalds can cause serious problems for children.
Teach your children from an early age to be wary of the hot liquids found
in kitchens. Place this appliance and its power cord well to the rear of a
work surface, out of children's reach.
In case of accident, hold the burnt area under cold running water
immediately, and call a doctor if necessary.
• To minimise the risk of accidents, never drink or carry hot drinks while
holding a child or baby.
• Do not use the tray to carry the teapot or kettle while they are full of
hot water or tea, as there is a risk of scalding.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

European directive 2012/19/UE on Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment (WEEE), requires that old household electrical appliances are
not thrown into the normal flow of municipal waste. Old appliances must
be collected separately in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of
materials they contain and reduce the impact on human health and the
environment.
