You can use the remote control to operate the windows with
the vehicle off.
To use global opening:
1. Press and release the unlock button on the remote control.
2. Press and hold the unlock button on the remote control.
3. Release the button when the windows start to open.
NOTE:
You can use global opening for a short period of time when
you unlock your vehicle using the remote control.
To use global closing:
1. Press and hold the lock button on the remote control.
2. Release the button when the windows start to close.
Press the lock or the unlock button on the remote control to
stop global opening or closing.

Phone as a key
allows you to
use your phone in place of a remote control. Up to four phones
can be programmed to your vehicle. You can use your phone
for the following:
• Remote locking and unlocking.
• Passive entry and exit.
• Passive start and drive the vehicle.
• Remote start.
• Memory function recall.
To program your smartphone to use phone as a key:
1. Visit your device's app store to download the FordPass app.
2. Create a new account or sign-in with an existing
account on the FordPass app and add the vehicle's VIN
to your account.
3. Follow the prompts to complete the SYNC Connect
authorization process.
4. Set up phone as a key following the prompts in
the FordPass app.
5. Follow the prompts on the touchscreen to set up the
backup start passcode.
