Maintenance and cleaning

Cleaning the device

Clean the unit with a soft, clean and dry cloth. Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical
solutions. These can attach the housing surface or impair the function.

Malfunction
A WiFi connection between the
Aquarium Controller and the router
cannot be established.
The WiFi connection to the Aquar-
ium Controller is not established
although the network name is dis-
played in the WiFi settings.
The Aquarium Controller does not
react to commands and displays
"offline".

Possible cause
The WiFi standard set in the router
is not compatible.
The most recently saved connec-
tion data (e.g. SSID, password) is
not up to date.
WiFi on the smartphone/tablet is
deactivated.
The Aquarium Controller has no
connection to the Cloud.
With a connection to a WiFi net-
work: Excessive distance between
router and Aquarium Controller.
Remedy
The Aquarium Controller supports
the WiFi standards 802.11 n+b+g ex-
clusively in a frequency range of
2.4 Ghz.
If necessary, set the router to a
supported standard (see router op-
erating manual).
Reset the connection.
iOS:
• Select the network and tap .
• Tap "Ignore this network" to re-
move the network.
• Then re-establish a connection
with the network.
Android:
• Select the network and tap "Re-
move" to remove the network.
• Then re-establish a connection
with the network.
Activate WiFi on the
smartphone/tablet.
Check the Cloud connection pa-
rameters in the app settings.
• Reduce distance between router
and Aquarium Controller .
• Remove obstructions between
Aquarium Controller and router.
