Vehicle care products
General information
BMW recommends using vehicle care and
cleaning agents from BMW. Suitable vehicle
care products are available from an authorized
service center or another qualified service cen-
ter or repair shop.
Safety information
Warning
Cleaning agents can contain substances that
are dangerous and harmful to your health.
There is a risk of injury. When cleaning the
interior, open the doors or windows. Only use
products intended for cleaning vehicles. Fol-
low the instructions on the packaging.
Vehicle paintwork
General information
Regular vehicle care contributes to driving
safety and value retention. Environmental in-
fluences in areas with elevated air pollution or
natural contaminants such as tree resin or pol-
len can affect the vehicle paintwork. Align the
frequency and extent of vehicle care according
to the degree of soiling.
Corrosive substances such as spilled fuel oil,
grease or bird droppings must be removed
immediately to prevent the finish from being
altered or discolored.
Matte paintwork
Only use cleaning and care products suitable
for vehicles with matte paintwork.

Care of convertible top
General information
The appearance and service life of the
convertible top depend on correct vehicle care
and operation.
Follow the following instructions:
▷ Clean headliner with a microfiber cloth.
Dampen the cloth lightly with water, if
needed.
▷ Do not soak the headliner.
▷ To avoid water stains, spots of mold, and
chafe marks, do not keep the convertible
top enclosed in the convertible top com-
partment for a long period of time. Do not
fold up the convertible top or stow it in the
convertible top compartment if it is wet or
frozen.
▷ Remove any water stains that have ap-
peared on the headliner using a microfiber
cloth and an interior cleaner.
▷ When the vehicle is parked in enclosed
areas for lengthy stationary periods, ensure
that the area is well ventilated.
▷ Park the vehicle in the shade to protect it
from intensive sunlight so that color, rub-
ber, and fabric are not affected.
▷ Remove bird droppings immediately as
their corrosive effect will otherwise attack
the convertible top and damage the rubber
seals.
▷ Hard to remove tree sap or bird droppings
can be removed from the convertible top
with special tree sap remover and a soft
brush.
