4.4 - Fuse protection and cable cross-sections

The individual cores of the power cable must be fitted with provided
with wire end sleeves.
The cable cross-sections listed in Table 2 apply to a cable length
of up to 50 m at an ambient temperature not exceeding 30°C. In
each case, the electrician responsible must ensure appropriate
sizing.
The power cables must be used to create a clockwise rotating
field. The clockwise rotating field must be ensured before
commissioning.
Caution!
Operation with incorrect grid rotational direction
will result in compressor damage.
Caution!
Only CARRIER customer service may start the
heat pump for the first time!

4.5 - Sensor wiring

Never apply voltage to sensor terminals! This would
irreparably damage the controller .
The controller temperature sensors of type NTC10K are delivered

During installation of the sensor cable, ensure that the cable is
not routed parallel to cables with AC voltage > 230 V AC.
Outdoor sensor TA
The outdoor sensor for the controller should be installed at a height
of approx. 2.5 m on an outside wall of the building (north-west
side). Make sure that the outdoor sensor is not exposed to direct
sunlight or wind, as this will impair the control characteristics. Also
avoid positioning it close to the evaporator. There may be a risk
of influence on the control.
Buffer sensor TPO/TPM
If using a hydraulic separation buffer, install 2 sensors in the buffer.

Positioning is according to the information in the hydraulic
diagrams.

4.6 - Pumps, drives 230 V AC

Pumps (heat circuit pumps, DHW charging pump) and drives
(mixing valves, etc.) can be connected in the heat pump control
cabinet. The outputs to a source energy pump or consumer energy
pump are equipped with motor overload relays and protected
against overload and short circuit.
A test run may only be carried out on a system that has been
prepared for commissioning! The controller has a manual mode for
monitoring the relevant outputs (actuators).
