    Congratulations on your purchase of a JUKI product. This Instruction Manual describes the IoT Gateway JGW-01. Be sure to read safety precautions for the JGW-01 to fully understand them before putting your product into use. Be sure to read this Instruction Manual before use in order to ensure safe use of this product.

    1. Specifications 1-1. IoT Gateway JGW-01 The "IoT Gateway JGW-01" (hereinafter referred to as the IoT Gateway) is a WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) Gateway for relaying sewing machines and sensors to the production management system. It is connected, with cables, to the JUKI sewing machines that support serial communications, sew- ing machines that do not support serial communication but are equipped with a main-shaft rotation sensor, and production switches to acquire the sewing-machine operating information.

    3. Setup 3-1. How to install the IoT Gateway to the JUKI sewing machine that supports serial communications <Example of installation of the IoT Gateway to the JUKI DDL-9000C sewing machine> DANGER: 1. To prevent personal injuries caused by electric shock hazards or abrupt start of the sewing machine, carry out the work after turning OFF the power switch and a lapse of 5 minutes or more.

  • Page 14 3. Place the second unit of the IoT Gateway near the first unit and turn ON the power of the former. Then, the configuration information of the first unit of the IoT Gateway is automatically copied to the second unit. When the second unit creates a connection with the access point and successfully sends the setting data to the MQTT broker, the LED indicators change their statuses from blinking to lighting to indicate that the setting of the second unit of the IoT Gateway has been completed.

    4. LED indicators and pushbutton The IoT Gateway is provided with five LED indicators. They have individual display functions and collective display function. In addition, the IoT Gateway is provided with one pushbutton that is used for transiting the IoT Gateway status. LED indicators Pushbutton Fig.

    When you connect your PC or smartphone to the IoT Gateway through the web browser, the "Home" page of the JUKI IoT Gateway website as shown in the following figure appears on the screen to allow you to check internal information of the IoT Gateway.
